The location of this hotel is the main selling point - it is on the quiet side of town and right on the sea front. We had a sea view room with balcony which was very good. We arrived just before lunchtime and although check in isnt until 4pm they said a room was available - when we went up there the room hadnt been made up after all but the receptionist got the chambermaid to come straight along and clean the room so we dumped our cases and went back out. The rooms are fairly spacious, very simply furnished, there are no pictures on the walls for example so quite minimalist. The bathroom has a large walkin shower, toiletries and hairdryer. There is a safe, fridge and tv in the room. The main thing to point out is that this really is a hotel geared up for spanish holidaymakers rather than english . There was only one other english couple staying on our last day so if you want sit in the bar talking to other holiday makers etc then I suggest this isnt the hotel for you. The bar area and restaurant are very minimalist, its not really the sort of environment that you want to spend long periods of time. Breakfast was pretty good with a bit of everything, 5 or 6 hot dishes which changed each day, various breads/rolls, apples and pears, cereal, yoghurts, croissants and a couple of cake selections. Its perfectly adequate. The fruit juice machine wasnt so good - the juice was way too concentrated, like undiluted squash. The young lad at breakfast was very nice and very efficient. There is a lovely rooftop terrace with some sunbeds, tables and chairs and even a small pool although this was closed (probably due to time of year - January). Overall I would recommend this hotel if you like to do your own thing and want to use the hotel as a base only . If you want to spend a lot of time around the hotel this probably isnt the hotel for you.

The location, directly across from the beach. Near the old town. Tapas Alley, restaurants, shops. Near beautiful bars and restaurants. The breakfast was excellent every morning. The staff very happy and accommodating. We had a room with a sea view and a balcony. Went to sleep most nights to the sound of the waves. Loved sitting on the balcony in the evening watching everybody walk up and down the prom. The shower was perfect. Great flow and lovely and hot. It has a small solarium with a small pool. Near the port for boat trips and para sailing. Supermarket next door and another round the corner. On a bus route. No 3 from across from the bus station will take you to the poniente beach and a 2 min stroll to the hotel. You can walk to the new town 20/25 mins or taxi 8 euros. If you like to pop in and out of the lively night/day life in the new town this is perfect. Or stroll along the prom with all the bars and restaurants.

Absolute fantastic hotel, location 10/10 amazing staff, was in the dreaded 118 room haha! but was fine for me,shout out to man at reception, had issues with my phone on day 1 and he let me use his personal phone which was much appreciated as phone wouldnt charge and had boardimg pass on it and familly and friends contact numbers, was also solo travelling for 1st time, so was pretty nervous time forme, he helped me alot, thanks! Would recommend to anyone, hotel always clean and smelling good also, and the beach is also 5 steps away from hotel 🙂 Only thing I would suggest is having some for British breakfast items but apart from that 9.5/10 ❤️ Will be back

We paid a little more for a room with a seaview and was rewarded by a perfect view from this frontline property. We stayed on a half board basis and was pleasantly surprised by the buffet tyle meals offered, something for everyones taste and all well presented and served hot throughout the buffet service. The hotel does seem to be popular with the older Spanish clientel, there is probably a reason for this in that where it is located is easy walking because its flat around that area and like most establishments and restaurants if you notice where the locals patronise its usually good.

I was made to feel very welcome by the lovely staff, the hotel has a lovely history, reflected in the pictures in reception. I had a lovely Spanish style breakfast in the dining room and it was so nice to experience a little of the Spanish culture, talking to the staff and watching Spanish TV ( a couple of English channels would be nice though!) The room was lovely and clean, beds so comfortable and bedinen spotless - I would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Marconi again
